Terms of Use
Terms of Use of VectorBT PRO
Last updated: August 24, 2026
These Terms of Use (the Terms) apply to vectorbt.pro, VectorBT PRO software and private content, the private GitHub repository, the private Discord community, and related services (together, the Services). The Services are provided by Oleg Polakow (we, us, or our).
By using the public website, you agree to the provisions that apply to public use. By purchasing or using a membership, accessing private content, or downloading or using VectorBT PRO, you agree to the provisions that apply to those Services. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
1. Membership
An active membership provides access to the benefits described for the selected plan, which may include the private repository, private documentation, tutorials, updates, support, and the Discord community.
Available plans may include:
- Monthly access, which renews through the selected payment provider until canceled.
- 12-month access, which lasts for the stated paid term.
- Lifetime access, which lasts for the commercial lifetime of VectorBT PRO while it continues to be offered and maintained by us. It does not guarantee that a particular third-party platform, integration, or community service will remain available forever.
Membership is personal to the purchaser unless organization access has been agreed. You may not share private repository invitations, accounts, credentials, private content, or membership benefits with anyone who is not covered by your membership.
GitHub Sponsors access is normally granted automatically. Access purchased through another route is normally granted within 24 hours after payment is confirmed and we have the information needed to identify your account. Contact us if access has not arrived within that time.
2. Payments, renewals, and cancellation
The plans page displays available payment providers. A provider may process the payment or act as the seller or reseller for the transaction. Its terms govern the payment, taxes, billing, subscription management, cancellation, and refunds it handles. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Services.
The final price, currency, applicable taxes, renewal terms, and payment schedule are shown before you complete checkout. If those checkout details differ from a general price displayed on this website, the checkout details control.
You may cancel a recurring membership through the payment provider at any time. Unless the provider states otherwise, cancellation prevents the next renewal and access continues until the end of the current paid term.
Unless applicable law or the seller identified during checkout provides otherwise, purchases are final after access has been provided. Refunds and withdrawal rights are governed by applicable law and any additional policy offered by the seller or payment provider. If applicable consumer law gives you a cooling-off or withdrawal period, you may exercise that right by contacting the seller identified during checkout. If Oleg Polakow is identified as the seller, you may contact us at olegpolakow@vectorbt.pro. If a payment provider or another party is identified as the seller, use the withdrawal process or contact details provided by that seller. If you expressly request immediate access to digital content or membership services, the consequences for your withdrawal right depend on the consent and acknowledgment collected during checkout and the law that applies to your purchase.
Nothing in these Terms limits a refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a purchase is refunded, access associated with it may be removed.
3. Software license
Your use of VectorBT PRO software is governed by the separate Software License. Membership gives you access to obtain the software; it does not transfer ownership of the software or its source code.
When paid access ends, your access to private Services, new releases, updates, and support ends. Your use of a version already lawfully obtained remains subject to the Software License.
Individual membership permits personal, non-commercial use. Internal organization use and any commercial use are permitted only to the extent stated in the Software License or separately agreed with us in writing.
4. Acceptable use
You may use public content to learn about and evaluate VectorBT PRO and use private content as needed for your authorized use of the software.
You must not:
- share, publish, sell, sublicense, or distribute VectorBT PRO source code or private content;
- give an unauthorized person access to private Services;
- circumvent access controls, payment requirements, or technical restrictions;
- use the Services unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm others;
- disrupt the Services, introduce malicious code, or place an unreasonable load on them;
- systematically extract public or private content to reproduce the Services, create a competing content collection, or support a competing product; or
- remove copyright, trademark, license, or other proprietary notices.
Reasonable use of public documentation through ordinary browsers, search engines, coding agents, and interfaces we intentionally provide is allowed. This does not permit access to private content without authorization or redistribution of protected content.
5. Community and feedback
You remain responsible for content you post in the community or send to us. You retain ownership of your content. You give us the limited rights needed to display, transmit, store, moderate, and otherwise operate the relevant Service.
Do not post unlawful, abusive, threatening, deceptive, infringing, or privacy-violating content. We may remove content or restrict community access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or protect the community.
If you voluntarily provide ideas or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation. Do not send confidential information as feedback.
6. Service changes and availability
We may update and improve the Services, replace third-party platforms, and change features when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, technical development, or the continued operation of VectorBT PRO.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every feature, integration, data source, or third-party platform will remain unchanged. We will not materially reduce an existing prepaid membership without notice and any remedy required by applicable law.
Trading, investment, and analytical results depend on data, assumptions, configuration, and market conditions. The Services are provided for software, research, and educational purposes. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and they do not guarantee any trading result.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access when you materially breach these Terms or the Software License, fail to pay an amount due, compromise the security of the Services, or use the Services in a way that creates material legal or operational risk. Where appropriate, we will give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue.
Termination of membership does not give you permission to continue accessing private Services or to distribute the software. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including license restrictions, intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and liability limitations, remain in effect.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that they will be error-free, suitable for every purpose, or compatible with every system or third-party service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, lost opportunities, or loss of data arising from the Services. Our aggregate liability arising from a paid Service will not exceed the amount you paid for that Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or customer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury where such a limitation is prohibited.
9. Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled in connection with the website and membership purchases.
The Services link to and rely on third-party services such as GitHub, Discord, and payment providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, but this does not affect obligations that applicable law places directly on us.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, law, security requirements, or our business practices. The date above identifies the current version.
Updated Terms apply to new purchases from their effective date. If a change materially affects an existing paid membership, we will provide reasonable notice and request acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights already granted under an earlier agreement.
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Any mandatory rights available to you under applicable law remain unaffected.
